I may have something for you guys to try out. It is try changing the sample rate under sound settings. For Windows 10 users right click on your speaker icon that is next to the date and time and go to sound settings. Then go to device properties and then click on the advanced tab then choose a lesser sample rate than what the default is and see if that does anything. Yup after I have played a few hours the sound will distort or go away completely for a bit.

Also last night I started getting lag in video and sound. It did clear up after I went to a save room and saved my game, I didn't try playing further as I needed to get to bed so not sure if the issue would have returned.
