First of all the track listing is incorrect as 1 - 3 is side B and 4 -6 is side A. The interesting bit is that track 3 is Chaba Fadela's original N'sel Fik from with different lyrics and three years before her big hit with it dueting with husband Cheb Sahraoui. Nice French produced Rai album from with smooth as silk vocals from Cheb Tati. The usual keyboard, drums and guitars with a bit of sax from Alain valarsa and some derbouka from Mohscein Hantouf. Record and sleeve as NEW. Played once for the clips so have a listen.
A lovely set of classic Rai dance tracks that throbs from start to finish. Zahouani's vocals power out over the sound of modern Parisienne style keyboard backing and percussion. Released back in just after he hit the big time in Paris.
Sleeve has a small bit of wear on top and side otherwise very good. Record is as new. Rai with that thumping rhythmic drumming that's missing on recent Euro releases. Instrument wise it seems to have a bit of everything combined with Zahouani's power packed vocals. The last track has to be unique as the manufacturer has put his squeaky voiced advert in while the song is still going, sounds great. This album is the real roots of Rai, not the plastic keyboard driven modern rubbish we get today. Played once for the clips. The majority of her albums have her commanding vocals with the backing of throbbing hand beaten tambours and the sweet raspy tones of the ney flute. This album adds to the godmother of rai's simple sounds with the addition of a bit of keyboard, accordion and acoustic guitar.
