After twelve years, and more hits than you could shake a stick at, Columbia Records dropped Guy Mitchell in April It was enough to persuade Pye in Britain to issue it, but again there was no return to chart fame. In the early 60s New York was awash with independent producers, among them a trio of writers and producers who would, before long, become a hit factory all on their own. Bob Feldman remembers a disc jockey friend in Florida bringing Karol Kelly to the fledgling production outfit of Feldman-Goldstein-Gottehrer.
We had her talk the record and even that was tough for her. It was also a hit in Canada and in several European countries. Once again, though, a promising debut led to little else and his follow-up, Lollipops, Lace and Lipstick went nowhere. A trained musician, he played violin, guitar and double bass. After a stint in the US Navy and now calling himself Virtue he had a hit with Guitar Boogie Shuffle in and opened his own studios in Philly in Edward Lee Smith, James Tindal, Raymond Eskridge and Michael Franklin came from Paoli on the outskirts of Philly and can perhaps count themselves lucky to even have got a UK release in view of sales being restricted to the immediate Philadelphia area.

When you have always fought for what you want, is it any surprise your best would never have made a difference to the decision being made. Kaye has started out with a bang with this book which is easy to read and well written but also entertaining. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book in the series. This is a first read for me from this author and I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this read so it definitely will not be my last. Cree Manning has the perfect life, she's living her dream as a attorney, so what more could she want oh yeah the promotion thats coming up, except her colleague Aaron and his arrogant ways, stands in the way, with him being a prince she does not understand why he wants to keep working as a attorney. Aaron Sarda is third in line to take over the royal throne of Kingdom of Medina, which he's sure won't be in his lifetime, so instead of just laying around and feeling useless he works as attorney but to also wind up his work colleague.
Feb 21, Tracy Wilkin rated it really liked it. What a delightfully entertaining story Make Me was. I really was taken in and swept away by these charismatic characters. They were constantly amusing and provided me with hours of biting, angsty shenanigans. Kaye Blue is a mew author, and one I was thrilled to discover.
Make Me was a story surrounding Cree and Aaron. Both attorneys who despise one another, making this story highly ridiculously spirited and sassy. The fireworks were blinding whenever these two personalities clashed. It was a rid What a delightfully entertaining story Make Me was. It was a ride I never wanted to end. They fought over absolutely everything, and they were a disaster waiting to happen.
But what a beautiful catastrophe they were. Make Me was a witty and enlightening read. I recommend it to all lovers who love to become absorbed in a well written and addictive tale. Feb 21, Renee rated it really liked it.
This story follows Cree and Prince Aaron. Love at first sight is definitely not this book. Cree and Aaron are thrown together and their adventure begins. They go through ups and downs, but their relationship grows and gets stronger. Their chemistry was great, and it was so easy to root for them. Each makes mistakes, but that helps them be relatable. Cree has found purpose and direction in her life.
She is strong female character. Aaron is handsome, but had found less direction and purpose than Cree. I loved that we get both characters point of view in this story. The one thing that I would have liked to have seen was a epilogue to tell us about the in the future……but oh well. Hopefully, the second book will provide me with updates about them. Mar 25, Kaitlynn Taylor rated it really liked it. I thoroughly enjoyed this read from start to finish, it was funny, sweet, full of sexual tension and it had the perfect amount of detail.
Aaron is confident, resourceful and very misunderstood. I really liked how Kaye developed these characters, because I will admit it did take me some time to connect with Aaron but the further into the story I got the more I found myself connecting with him in a way that really added to my reading experience.
I look forward to reading more from this author! Mar 25, Nicole rated it really liked it. This is an adult contemporary romance novel, with a lot of enemy to friends elements.
Cree and Aaron are both attorneys working at the same law form. They seem to know which buttons to push on each other, they are constantly annoyed and mad at one another. This is a great and easy read. Well written, with entertaining and intriguing characters. The banter between the two characters is quite hilarious at times. It just proves, opposites DO attract… sometimes!! Great job, Kaye.. Feb 21, Anesha Coleman rated it it was amazing. This is my first read by the author and I can say I'll be reading more work by her in the future, thats for sure.
I really enjoyed Aaron and cree's character, although cree felt a little atypical kinda hot nerdy girl at the office with insecure thoughts that float by I still enjoyed her character development in the book and her wit and thoughts.
I enjoyed Aaron even more he's very self aware but not what you'd think when u look from a far. I enjoyed their thoughts about each and the subtle shift This is my first read by the author and I can say I'll be reading more work by her in the future, thats for sure.
I enjoyed their thoughts about each and the subtle shifting of their relationship in the book. I thought the competition was the perfect push and pull to get them to light that spark they have.
I loved the plot, characters, writing style and the way it was contructed this is def a book worth reading and then some! Feb 25, Avid Reader rated it it was ok. This book had nothing going for it. A prince working in a law firm and normal woman working there too. He thinks she is uptight and she thinks he has life handed to him on a silver platter.
They are paired together on a work assignment and end up go to bed together after a horribly contrived and pointless argument. Love happens but she gets no credit for the work project and he gets a job offer. The characters are as interesting as watching paint dry, the secondary characters are not used effecti This book had nothing going for it. The characters are as interesting as watching paint dry, the secondary characters are not used effectively to add texture or move the storyline along, and the book is just boring.
I've read a couple of this author's books and this critique could be applied to most any of them. I think I'll skip Ms. Blue's work going forward. Mar 26, Lisa rated it really liked it.
The two are thrown together in a competition to win a top spot at their firm and the sparks fly. What lengths will they go to win the prize? This is a new author for me and while the book Make Me is the first book in the Dirty Royals series by author Kaye Blue.
This is a new author for me and while the book started slowly for me and most of the interactions were at work, I did find myself enjoying the story. I look forward to learning more about the Sarda princes in the future books of this series. Feb 21, Heather Mize rated it really liked it. I have read several books by this author and have always loved her writing style. Make me is the first book in the Dirty Royals series. This book is about two lawyers who have always viewed each other as adversaries but have always had a layer of sexual tension.
These two find themselves having to work closely to each other and man do the verbal Sparks fly. Cree is the heroine and she does not hold her sass at all. Then there is Aaron who acts like royalty because he is royalty. The fun part is I have read several books by this author and have always loved her writing style.
The fun part is Cree doesn't care if he's a prince or not! This book was slow at times but over all very enjoyable! Feb 21, Jes Bruno rated it really liked it Shelves: reviewed , ibbb. Cree Manning and Aaron Sarda are co-workers who are in a competition to win an account; the best proposal is made partner at their law firm. They need to find a way to work together and stop pushing each other buttons. The more they argue and stare each other down, more the sexual sparks fly.
These two some amazing chemistry and this prince is a dirty boy. Overall, I really liked this book; the beginning was a slow burn than it was non-stop heat. Till the next Dirty Royal comes out, I might be checking out Kaye other series. May 11, Lucy Berson rated it it was amazing. This is a new author as well as series for me. Cree absolutely loves being an attorney. The only downside is her colleague, Aaron. Sure she thinks he is attractive but there is no way that she will be taking it easy in him just because he is royalty.
Aaron might be a prince but he loves that his is away from his family, doing what he loves. When they are paired to work together on a multi-million dollar bid for the firm, will Cree be able to work alongside Aaron calmly or will her attraction win? May 13, Kelli rated it really liked it.
I read them in opposite in the way that Ms. Blue released them but there really wasn't much of anything that spoiled this first book for me. In Make Me, Cree and Aaron are colleagues in the same law firm and are not the best of friends.
Matter of fact Cree isn't at all fond of Aaron and he is determined to change her mind, but at what cost? This book is an enemies to lovers and was well written but the story seemed to drag in places. Kelli Harper Feb 21, Lyndsey Fairley rated it really liked it. Cree and Aaron work together at a law office and while I didnt see much outside of the competition, I wanted to see them do more talking, instead of inner thoughts. They didnt have much communication, but they had sparks off the charts.
I don't want to give to much away but I didn't like Aaron but then he grew on me quickly. Look forward to the rest of this series! There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Readers also enjoyed. About Kaye Blue. Kaye Blue. Hello, I'm Kaye, and I write hot, gritty, suspenseful romance that features alpha males and the curvy women they love.
Other books in the series. Dirty Royals 3 books. Books by Kaye Blue. I got this vinyl. It's really good and I'd like it on mp Go to DickDomane. The album is a compilation of different type tunes he wrote in the last few years.
Post a Comment. Thursday, January 17, Dick Domane Dick Domane is best known from the "Mystic Males" compilation, where he is represented with the great "Bad Dream". His only album was released in Map City and is filled with well-crafted orchestral pop and psych-pop, often accompanied with fuzz guitar. He wrote all the songs except one "Maybe". Much more better than the horrible Gordon Alexander LP or the Bob Ray album which is not bad but rather uninteresting.
I would compare it to Del Shannons "Charles Westover" record if that helps.A wind of change blew through the music industry in the post-WWII era; it was called rock ‘n’ roll. With it came a new breed of entrepreneurs, chancers even, who saw this vibrant new music as an opportunity to make a name for themselves and, perhaps more importantly, a lot of money.
