This release has been worth recording and releasing, as the re-recorded songs are different enough to hear, without them losing the magic they had in the first place. There is a certain clearness in the music that shows one how good they were as electric pieces, a kind of "stripped down" version. Having liked The Church from the off, I would not say I'm a devoted fan, as it has taken me Fromm the release of this in till now to hear it, so my limited comments are, as it were, from the outside.
